- The Lead: The MIT men's fencing team defeated Boston College, 14-13, in the final round of the Beanpot on Wednesday. Earlier in the night, the Engineers fell to Brandeis University (17-10) and Harvard University (20-7). Sophomore Sheel Patel (El Paso, Texas) racked up a 6-1 mark for the epee squad while senior Tzer Wong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) led the sabre team with a tally of 6-3. Sophomore Chris McKinney (Concord, Mass.) was the top performer for the foil unit with a record of 2-4.
