Sarah Fay joined MIT’s coaching staff in 2015. A four-year player and a captain for the Engineers, she was a three-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, NFHCA National Academic Squad selection, and NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honoree. A key member of MIT’s defense, Fay contributed to 21 shutouts and a 1.53 goals against average. During her career, MIT captured NEWMAC Championships during the 2011 and 2012 seasons in addition to advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament in 2011.
Fay received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from MIT in 2015 and then earned a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering from MIT in 2018. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Institute in mechanical engineering with a focus in sports technology.
