Sarah Goodman begins her fourth year with the Engineers coaching staff, after having a great impact on the program over the past three seasons. She works primarily with the MIT Softball catchers and outfield, as well as pitch calling and offense development.
Goodman, who served as a graduate assistant coach at Smith College two years ago, was a four-year starter for the Pioneers. She served as captain for two seasons and was voted MVP at the conclusion of the 2012 campaign. As a senior, Goodman led the team in several categories, including hits, doubles, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage, stolen bases and batting average while committing zero errors in the field.
Goodman holds two degrees, a bachelors of arts in neuroscience and masters in exercise studies and sports science. She appeared on the Dean’s List in 2012 and was also an inductee of Sigma Xi and Nu Rho Psi honor societies the same year.
