Ellie Fodor '15 begins her second year as a volunteer assistant coach with the MIT softball program after a successful four-year career with the Engineers. During her time as a pitcher at MIT, Fodor broke the school record for most strikeouts in a game (16) and threw the only perfect game in school history, which came on April 25, 2015 in an 8-0 win over Clark University.

Fodor was also awarded the Pewter Bowl, which is given to the female senior student-athlete who has shown the highest qualities of inspiration and leadership in women’s athletics, as well as the Phillip A. Trussel Prize, given to the undergraduate student-athlete who demonstrates skill, sportsmanship, and levity. She was named NEWMAC Pitcher of the Year in 2015 and was placed on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region First Team the same year. As a senior, Fodor aided the Engineers to their appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Fodor graduated from MIT in 2015 with a degree in materials science and engineering and is currently a systems engineer at Raytheon.
