Roni Jedryka, a 2017 MIT graduate and former member of the MIT women's swimming and diving team, begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Engineers in 2017-18.
While at MIT, Jedryka became the most decorated student-athlete in program history as she recorded 25 All-America honors over four years on the women's swimming and diving team. Jedryka was an 18-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) individual champion and eight-time member of the NEWMAC All-Conference second team. Jedryka also holds eight MIT program records and ten NEWMAC records and closed her career last season by leading the nationally-ranked Engineers to their best finish ever at the NCAA Division III National Championship when MIT placed fifth with a team score of 165 points.
Jedryka graduated in May with a degree in mechanical engineering and out of the pool was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large First Team, was a three-time College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American and a three-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection.
