Cleveland, Ohio (December 24) -- In the final 2019 Fall Division III Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings, MIT sits in fourth place overall with a total of 311 points. The Engineers earned points from men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football and women's soccer as all five programs captured their respective NEWMAC Championships.
The Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.

Field hockey advanced to the program's second Elite Eight, while women's soccer advanced to the second round before falling in penalty kicks. Football advanced to the program's second straight NCAA Tournament with a thrilling road win at Springfield in the regular-season finale.
MIT finished sixth in the final 2018-19 Directors' Cup standings and has now finished in the top-11 in the country for 10 straight years dating back to the 2009-2010 academic year. MIT's top finish came in 2017-18, when the Engineers were second nationally with a total of 1001.5 points.
