  • Gantman, Basinger Named to CoSIDA Football Academic All-District Team

    MIT football senior Sam Gantman (Mendota Heights, Minn.) and junior Nathan Basinger (Dalton, Ohio) have been named to the 2020-21 Academic All-District Football Team, selected by CoSIDA. This program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The program recognizes football honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
  • Seven Engineers Named to the 2021 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society

    Seven members of the MIT football program have been named to the 2021 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, as announced on Wednesday. Overall, 910 players from 255 schools qualified for membership in 2021.
  • Engineers Lead League with 32 NEWMAC Football Academic All-Conference Selections

    As announced by the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), a league-leading 32 members of the MIT football program have been named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team. Overall, 129 football student-athletes were recognized by the league.

  • DAPER Renames Fund as Walter R. Crosby (1981) Football Assistant Coach Endowed Fund

    The MIT Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) announced today the renaming of the MIT Football Assistant Coach Fund as the Walter R. Crosby (1981) Football Assistant Coach Endowed Fund. This fund is in honor of Walt Crosby '81, who was one of the founders of the MIT Football Club Team in 1978.
