Men’s Tennis Places Six on NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

Westwood, Mass. (June 30) – The MIT men's tennis team saw six student-athletes earn a spot on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the league on Wednesday. The list is comprised of 27 student-athletes who earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or 4.35 on a 5.0 scale after the 2021 spring semester, achieved second-year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the team for the entire semester.

Michael Zhao '21 received his third award while rising senior Arman Dave (Southlake, Texas) was a repeat honoree. Rising juniors Benji Grossman (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico), Richter Jordaan (Denver, Colo.), Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.), and Derek Shen (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) made the list for the first time.
