- The Lead: A string of seven unanswered points late in regulation helped host and nationally-ranked No. 8 University of Chicago pull away for an 81-72 victory over the MIT women's basketball team in the Midway Classic on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Christina Antonakakis (Holmdel, N.J.) led all players with a career-high 22 points to go along with four rebounds and three steals for the Engineers.

- MIT entered the second quarter with a 19-13 edge which grew to 28-17 after an Antonakakis jumper with 7:31 on the clock. The Maroons responded by going on a 23-7 run, taking a 40-35 lead at the intermission.

- The Engineers battled back in the third quarter, going up 50-49 courtesy of senior Kristen Ngan's (Sudbury, Mass.) three-pointer at the 4:23 mark. A pair of free throws over a minute later put UChicago back in front, however, MIT stayed close as senior Taylor V'Dovec's (Blaine, Wash.) trey right before the buzzer brought the visitors within 58-55.

- In the fourth quarter, the Maroons built a 68-59 advantage with 6:23 left to play. The Engineers chipped away at the deficit, narrowing the gap to 70-68 courtesy of a three-point play by sophomore Kylie Gallagher (Upton, Mass.) with 3:42 on the clock. After an exchange of possessions, UChicago created some breathing room by generating its pivotal seven-point spurt during the next three minutes.

- Ngan amassed 18 points and three assists while V'Dovec recorded 14 points.

- Senior Dolly Yuan (San Jose, Calif.) tallied 10 points, seven rebounds, and a game-high six assists.

- MIT will conclude its road trip on Sunday, Nov. 25 when it travels to nationally-ranked No. 2/2 Bowdoin College for a 2:00 p.m. tip off.
