- The Lead: Facing its toughest competition during the first half of the season, the MIT women's fencing team posted a 1-4 ledger at the Brandeis University Invitational on Sunday. The Engineers topped the University of Incarnate Word (18-9) but fell to St. John's University (18-9), Cornell University (22-5), Harvard University (18-9), and Yale University (20-7). First-year Kristen Palmer (Brooklyn, N.Y.) powered the sabre squad with an 12-3 record while senior Taiylor Nunn (Westport, Conn.) led the epee unit with a 7-8 ledger. Senior Stephanie Li (Greenwood Village, Colo.) turned in a team-best 4-10 foil performance.
