  • Four From Women's Soccer Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

    Cambridge, Mass. (June 4) - Four student-athletes from the MIT women's soccer team have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team. The 2020-21 CoSIDA Women's Soccer Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
  • Student-Athletes, Alumni Lead the Way at the 2021 MIT Sports Summit

    The 2021 MIT Sports Summit was held recently and featured alumni, faculty, staff and a number of leaders across the sports industry. Another group that played a key role in this year’s event were a group of MIT current and former student-athletes across many sports, including project leads Ivan Jutamulia ‘20 (men’s soccer) and Jess Sonner ‘22 (women’s soccer).

  • Men's and Women's Soccer Teams Earn United Soccer Coaches Academic Accolades

    Kansas City, Mo. (October 1) - The MIT men's and women's soccer teams have both earned the United Soccer Coaches Division III Team Academic Award for their work in the classroom during the 2019-20 academic year. Both teams earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches for the tenth time.
  • Berzolla Named as NCAA Woman of the Year Top 30 Honoree

    Indianapolis, Ind. (September 17) -- Former MIT women's soccer standout All-American Emily Berzolla (Riverside, Conn.) has been named as a Top 30 honoree for the 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Berzolla is now the fourth student-athlete in MIT history and first from the women's soccer program to be honored as a Top 30 selection, joining Maryann Gong '17 (cross country/track and field), Margaret Guo '16 (swimming and diving) and Lisa K. Arel '92 (gymnastics). In 2016, Guo captured the Woman of the Year award and became the first MIT student-athlete to earn the honor.
