  • MIT Leads Division III With Seven CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Selections

    Austin, Texas (June 17) - A Division III leading seven MIT student-athletes - three men and four women - have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America At-Large teams this spring as the organization released its selections this afternoon.

    Austin, Texas (June 9) - MIT softball seniors Sarah Von Ahn (West Linn, Ore.) and Devon Goetz (Rockville, Md.) have both been named Second Team Academic All-Americans, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Von Ahn becomes the first three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American in program history, while Goetz picks up the first Academic All-America honor of her career this spring.
  • Seven Student-Athletes Selected to CoSIDA At-Large Academic All-District Team

    Cambridge, Mass. (May 21) - Seven MIT student-athletes have been recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) organization as they were all selected to the Academic All-District Team on Thursday afternoon. All seven will now appear on the national ballot for consideration for the CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Team, which will be voted on and released on Wednesday, June 17.

    Cambridge, Mass. (May 14) - Seniors Devon Goetz (Rockville, Md.) and Sarah Von Ahn (West Linn, Ore.) from the MIT softball team have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team. This marks Von Ahn's third straight selection to the Academic All-District team, while Goetz appeared on the team for the second consecutive year. 
  • Softball Sets Program Record With 11 NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Selections

    Westwood, Mass. (April 30) - The MIT softball team set a program record with 11 student-athletes on the 2020 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference team. The Engineers were tied for first in the league with Springfield College as both teams had 11 award winners this year.
  • NEWMAC Announces 2020 Spring All-Sportsmanship Team Selections

    Westwood, Mass. (April 18) - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced its 2020 Spring All-Sportsmanship selections. The award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each institution in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season. 
  • Softball Records Ninth Best GPA In Division III and Repeats Program Record With Ten NFCA Scholar-Athletes

    Louisville, Ky. (October 3) – Led by a program record ten student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher during the 2018-19 academic year, the MIT softball team was recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for their academic excellence in the classroom.
  • Kalman Adds Four to 2020 MIT Softball Roster

    Cambridge, Mass. (July 30) - The MIT softball team has announced its incoming recruiting class for the 2020 season as four student-athletes will join the program, which will be under the direction of second-year head coach Brooke Kalman.
