Softball Produces Seven NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team Honors

Westwood, Mass. (June 28) – The MIT softball team received seven NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team honors as announced by the league on Monday. The list is comprised of 64 student-athletes who earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or 4.35 on a 5.0 scale after the 2021 spring semester, achieved second-year academic status at their institution and been a member of the team for the entire semester.

Colleen Campbell '21 collected her third award while rising seniors Anya Chase (Wells, Maine), Olivia Lucchese (Camarillo, Calif.), and Deborah Torres (Portage, Mich.) were repeat honorees. Rising senior Claire Wichman (Omaha, Neb.) along with rising juniors Haley Samuelsen (Houston, Texas) and Abby Shull (Cypress, Texas) made the list for the first time.
