Women's Tennis Leads League with Nine NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Honorees

Westwood, Mass. (June 30) -- A league-leading nine members of the MIT women's tennis team have been named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference Team. Overall, 46 women's tennis student-athletes were honored across the conference as every MIT player on the roster who was eligible earned Academic All-Conference accolades.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or 4.35 on a 5.0 scale after the 2021 spring semester, achieved second-year academic status at her institution and have been a member of the team for the entire semester.

Libby Rickeman (Wayzata, Minn./The Blake School)
Ashley Teng (Tustin, Calif./Arnold O. Beckman)

This marks the third Academic All-Conference honor for Guenther and Kitova, while Rickeman and Teng are now two-time selections.
